"During the 90’s I worked at Waxman’s Camera on 15th and Champa. Dr. Daddio would come in with roles of film to develop or to buy film and my having just started in my career as a ‘novice photographer’ had the opportunity to become Dr. Daddio’s go to customer service representative, we’d talk all things about photography or about upcoming events. We developed a friendship that expanded to my going to his sponsored events and absorbing the best of community experiences. A secret that can now be told,. I exchanged the costs of the film development and recently expired film, at no cost to Dr. Daddio. I felt we exchanged more than a long lasting friendship, Dr. Daddio mentored my future passion and sense of community, that still embraces the photo memories of today. We may say Paying It Forward began with Dr. Daddio. Thank You, Dr.Daddio and family. . Bobbi E.T. "

"James Dr. Daddio Walker was a titan in radio broadcasting. He built radio station KDKO and defined Denver’s sound for decades. He and Pat Walker’s commitment to quality broadcasting and genuine community engagement set a standard that few reach. I am honored to have worked under their leadership and to have learned the importance of integrity in this business. Their voice and vision remains with me to this day. The airwaves are a little quieter today without the Unity in The Community radio station. Dr. Daddio was one of a kind—a passionate broadcaster, family man, leader, and a great boss. Thank you for the memories and the lessons you taught me at Power 1510 KDKO. I’m already missing you. T-Hutt!"

"Dr. Daddio believed in my educational journey as a black, single mother in the mid-90's. He provided radio-broadcast training and let me work part-time as a DJ at KDKO to pay for school and supplement my income. It facilitated my confidence and growth in Colorado."
